1 1/2 oz Pepe Zevada Z Tequila Reposada
1/2 oz Paula's Texas Orange
1/2 oz Grapefruit Juice
1/2 oz Lime Juice
1/2 oz Guajillo Syrup*
Grapefruit Salt for rim*
Combine first five ingredients in mixing glass with ice, shake to chill, strain into cocktail glass rimmed with grapefruit salt, enjoy! (Recipe courtesy of Bill Norris)
Guajillo Syrup: Combine two cups water, 2 cups sugar and 4 stemmed, seeded guajillo peppers, bring to a boil, simmer for 15 minutes, strain. We find the peppers at HEB grocery stores in central Texas.
Grapefruit Salt: Zest one grapefruit, allow zest to dry at room temperature for several hours, grind in spice grinder, toss with one cup salt.
